election day closed

Tuesday, November 5 is Election Day! Please note that our IHSNO campus will be closed and there will be no classes held on this day. We hope that everyone who is eligible and registered to vote will exercise your right!

A Message from the Head of School

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope this message finds you well. I want to address a delay with the distribution of report cards. Originally scheduled for this past Wednesday, we encountered some technical difficulties that prevented us from ensuring the accuracy of the information. As a result, report cards will now be distributed on Monday. Students will receive their hard copies during Advisory, and parents will receive a digital copy via email. Please ensure that your contact information is current in our PowerSchool system. If you need to make any changes, kindly reach out to our registrar, Wendolly Vargas, at wendolly.vargas@ihsnola.org. Thank you for your patience as we resolve this issue.

I am also excited to announce a new addition to our English Department. Ms. Walkup, an experienced ELA teacher, has joined our team and is eager to support our students and fill any gaps created by recent staffing changes. She will begin her tenure with IHSNO on Tuesday and will be in the classroom with your students by Thursday. Ms. Walkup will be sending a welcome letter to the guardians of her students soon.

As a reminder, Tuesday, November 5, is Election Day. It’s crucial that we participate in this democratic process and set an example for our children about the importance of voting. Please note that our school will be closed that day, and no classes will be held.

Lastly, don’t forget that Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, November 3. Please remember to set your clocks back one hour.

Thank you for your continued support of our school community.

Warm regards,

Dr. Berger
CEO and Head of School

Red Ribbon Week highlights the importance of living a drug-free life. It presents an opportunity for parents, educators, and communities to reinforce the drug-free messages they share with their children throughout the year. During Red Ribbon Week, youth and adults around the nation pledge to increase their knowledge by learning more about the destructive effects of drug abuse, including prescription drug misuse, and renew their commitment to live a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
